This demonstration version limits you to 9 members and will not allow you to move into the subsequent month.
Below is the extract of the system manual dealing with a release of the demo on a CD that if you contact us we will be please to let you have.
The demonstration system can be used for training purposes both for setting up your credit union and for practice with everyday tasks. It will help you to familiarise yourself with the software and will allow you to practise entering transactions, running reports, etc. before using the actual system. After the installation instructions, you will see further information for those who wish to practice starting from scratch (i.e. setting up the credit union on the system) and for those starting with sample data (i.e. practising everyday use of the system).
When the installation has finished, you should have the following shortcuts
on your desktop:
· BACUS Demo System.
·
Restore BACUS Demo System.
·
Configure BACUS Demo Data.
a.) Click on the CONFIGURE BACUS DEMO DATA shortcut. Here you have 4 options:
- COMMUNITY CREDIT UNION ONLY
Same as the default system without the live or work option. This
really removes the employee options i.e. salary deductions.
- IN SETUP MODE
Same as the default system, but here you have the option to adjust
members and nominal ledger opening balances before going live to simulate
what you would need to do to start converting your system to Conaccess.
- COMPLETELY EMPTY (IN SETUP MODE)
Same as IN SETUP MODE, except that you have to set up the members
and input any balances yourself.
- AS ORGINALLY RELEASED
The system covered in this guide that is a live and work system
using payroll deductions.
N.B. The default database (the AS ORIGINALLY RELEASED option) is for a Live and work system, which allows for employee details, deductions and form 8 and 9 to be operative and is the recommended database to use.
b.) Once you have decided which system you would like to use, click
in the small circle next to the option, then click on RE-CONFIGURE tablet.
c.) Once configured, click on the BACUS DEMO SYSTEM shortcut or
go to START, PROGRAMS and BACUS DEMO SYSTEM.
If loaded successfully you should see the Conaccess thrift logo at the centre and the words CONACCESS CREDIT UNION SOFTWARE 999 – DEMONSTRATION CREDIT UNION LTD – (whatever month/year the system is loaded in). At the top underneath the title line you will see a number of options starting with Reports and moving through to the right hand side last option to Quit. Each are accessible and you have the opportunity of seeing for yourself the enormous amount of information you can now have at your finger tips. Remember at the right hand side column is shortcuts to various screens. Try them to see where it gets you!!
d.) After installing the Demonstration CD, there is the added bonus of viewing this guide as a word file. Here is how to access this:
- Go to My Computer and identify the C Drive.
- Choose the folder PROGRAM FILES.
- From the list of folders available, double click on BACDEMO (this
is the folder in which the demo resides).
- Double click on the folder MANUAL and then select the word file,
which this resides to access the guide.
N.B. This is an electronic form of this demo manual, which is a short
